Berkshire Developments Ltd have provided me with everything needed to achieve my downstairs bathroom and entrance hall extension. I appreciated not having to search out an architect or builder as Robert and his team provide choices for these. They also guide you through the whole build process, a definite advantage given this was my first experience of building an extension.The whole process was painless and I would be more than happy to use Berkshire Developments again should the need arise.

Berkshire Developments were instrumental in getting me started with major extension to my semi-detached house.    It felt like a daunting undertaking and I felt very supported by them.  I was impressed by the standard of the professionals that they worked with.  They were very helpful in the initial discussions about the project and through them I found an architect; a builder and an interior designer who were all excellent.  They were always available to discuss issues that arose and intervene if necessary.  They are a supportive, experienced and professional organisation.  I can certainly recommend them highly.

I have just had the interior of my house re-modelled to create a large open living area. I appointed Berkshire Developments to prepare the architectural layouts and obtain the necessary planning permission and building control approvals. In addition, they recommended a structural engineer and interior decorator to assist with these aspects. In addition, I took the opportunity to have some significant outstanding maintenance work done as part of the re-modelling. The design for the re-modelling was professionally executed and the necessary consents and approvals achieved within the time and budget allowances. Berkshire Developments also introduced me to a builder who has now completed the re-modelling to a good standard within the estimated budget and time. The standard of workmanship was excellent.

Such a wonderful experience working with Berkshire developments who provided me with inspirational designs, to transform my semidetached property with a grand wraparound ground floor side and rear extension. 

The main aim of this project was to create a third master bedroom downstairs with all necessary amenities for a family member with health problems.  In the designs this was complimented with a very large family living space leading into an ample kitchen and utility room

The care and attention in the designs schematics was exemplary.  “How can we use the space to benefit your family the most” was a welcomed phrase.  The family room benefited from a high vaulted ceiling with generous skylights to flood the space with natural light.

I particularly appreciated how the design phase influenced my preconceptions and allowed the space to develop to improve orientation and flow, which would aid our family member with poor health.  Providing an additional multifunction room, which could change use as my young children grow, was also a great idea

Robert and the team ensured that the project kept moving through the approval process despite some setbacks caused by Wokingham Borough Council.

They offer a service where they took the pain and worry out of the application and approval process through their decades of industry experience.

Being introduced to prospective builders through the process also really helped me understand my budget, priorities, project time scales and occupancy through the build.

They answered an internet based enquiry in connection with the potential development for residential use of an agricultural building on our land.  They produced sound plans and gave us practical advice on these and a wider range of development issues. As a consequence of their professional approach we were successful in obtaining prior approval on our building in the Green Belt under class Q.
